Hi!  Welcome to class 321.  My name is Ms. Deena and I am one of the Third Grade teachers.  

I attended Queens College and received a Bachelor's of Arts degree in Media Studies.  I was later intrigued in pursuing a career in education, as I come from a large family of educators. I went on to receive a Masters Degree in Childhood Education and Special Education.  I was a substitute teacher for four months before acquiring a permanent position with the NYC Department of Education in 2006.  I have taught grades ranging from Pre-K through 8th grade and I can honestly say there is nothing more rewarding than watching these children grow from one day to the next and being a part of that growth.  

I absolutely love teaching and am grateful for having the opportunity to be part of the school I once attended as a child and keeping the tradition by having my three children enrolled in Saint Demetrios Elementary School.
