This year is a year of transition, as students are expected to have mastered the ways of middle school, focus on leadership and begin becoming “high-schoolers.” In this year we put more of an emphasis on persuasive and expository writing. In social studies, our students will be expected to relate the past to the present in more details. We strongly encourage more class discussions, and participation within the class. Science becomes more and more hands on, your students are introduced to lab reports.
As the prior year, we start to place our students according to ability. Our accelerated students are exposed to advanced algebra concepts.
