Visit SD Prep
We encourage all applicants and their families to personally visit our campuses for a campus tour and interview. A personal interview is a required part of the application process and a great opportunity for students to learn more about SDP. Parents, guardians and applicants will have the opportunity to meet with our Director of Admissions and Administration. While visiting, students are also welcome to observe a class and meet with our teachers and staff. Families should plan to spend about two hours on campus for the tour and interview.
To schedule a visit to one of our campuses, please call 718-728-1754.
Open House
SAINT DEMETRIOS PREP invites you to visit our beautiful campuses in the heart of Astoria, Queens during one of our Open Houses. During your visit, you will tour the school and meet students, faculty, administrators and current parents. This interactive setting gives you a firsthand look at the life-long intellectual and spiritual foundation we provide our students with, in addition to a rigorous and innovative curriculum focused on faith, critical thinking, responsibility, and service.
Student for a Day Program
Spend a day shadowing a student with our Student for a Day Program. This is a great way for a prospective student to experience Saint Demetrios for the first time. This unique opportunity is available to students throughout the school year.
In order to provide as personal a visit as possible, we limit visitation to 5 visitors per day. Students should arrive in the Admission Office at 8:30am. and can be picked up in the Admission office at the end of the school day at 2:45pm.
Each visitor will be given lunch. Guests can also bring their own lunch. Visiting students should wear a dress shirt, tie and dress pants with shoes (no sneakers).
Each visitor is also welcome to bring a friend along who may also be interested in experiencing Saint Demetrios for a day. The two can be paired and are able to spend the day together while visiting. Both students will need to make their own appointments before visiting.
Each visitor may also request a particular current Saint Demetrios student to be his/her host for the day when making an appointment. If a visitor does not know a student whom he/she would like as his/her host, we will assign someone to him/her; possibly someone who shares a common interest or who is from the same hometown.
We look forward to your visit!
