Mr. Adam Wittenstein
I have been teaching in the math department at Saint Demetrios since 2003. I am also the Faculty Advisor for the Student Council (grades 4-11) since its founding in 2013. In addition, I am an adjunct professor of Mathematics and Computer Science at Adelphi University since 2005. Outside of teaching, I enjoy time with my friends, watching baseball (Mets) and football (Jets), and time outdoors in good weather.
Like so many of us, I have lost too many friends and family members to cancer over the years. Therefore, I actively fundraise for the annual Pan-Mass Challenge to fund the life-saving research at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute in Boston, Massachusetts. To promote fundraising, I do a 50 mile bike ride every summer through the hills of Massachusetts.
