Mrs. Stavroula Tsoutsa

Degrees and Certifications:

Mrs. Stavroula Tsoutsa

I am a Greek teacher and I teach Greek Language (Modern and Ancient), History and Greek Civilization.
Education is a continuous process for me. I've never stopped expanding my knowledge in various fields.
My University level education consists of: Bachelor in History and Archaeology from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki; Bachelor in Business Administration from the Technical University of Kavala; and a Masters degree in Education from the Open University of Greece. Also, I am certified in teaching Greek as a Second or Foreign language from the Center of the Greek Language in Thessaloniki, and completed studies on Theater Directing and Creative Writing.
Four years ago, I came to New York and since then, I have been teaching in Saint D's. I used to loved my job, after all what could have been more interesting and regenerating than teaching young people? But it is here that I have found a deeper meaning in my teaching. My students' love for Greece and its civilization, fills me up with joy and hope, every time I have a class.

In my free time I write short stories. You can read some of my stories in my blog "Stavroula's World" or in the archives of "National Herald" where some of them are published.

Mr. Mavrommatis and I, we run our school's Drama Club. Last year's show "The Yellow Gloves" was a big success and we excpect that our new show "The Auntie from Chicago" will rock too!

If you need more information about me you can read my resume.
