We are pleased to provide an opportunity for Greek American students attending public school to learn the Greek language and history. The school offers classes for Kindergarten, beginners, intermediate and advanced as well as Greek regents. The curriculum covers Greek language both reading and writing, Greek history, Orthodox religion and Greek culture as well as instruction in Greek dancing.
We are proud to have 100% passing grades for all our students who have taken the N.Y state Greek Regent Exams and Ellinomatheia exams.
Our emphasis is to instill in our students a strong sense of pride in their ethnic heritage.
Classes are held at Saint Demetrios School, 30-03 30th Dr, Astoria on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays. We also offer Adult classes on Wednesdays for beginners, intermediate and advanced.
