Alumni Present the Dangers of Vaping
Julia Kokkosis (CLASS OF 2017 salutatorian) and Evanthia Liandris (CLASS OF 2016 honors student) along with two of their classmates from LONG ISLAND UNIVERSITY'S COLLEGE OF PHARMACY AND HEALTH SCIENCES, spent a part of their Friday afternoon giving a presentation on the dangers of vaping and electronic cigarettes to the 10th and 11th graders of Saint Demetrios High School.
Our students remained engaged throughout the hour long presentation and asked many follow up questions. In addition they had inquiries about LONG ISLAND UNIVERSITY and careers in pharmacy.
The "future pharmacists" will be visiting our school again before the end of the school year to meet with students in grades 7, 8, and 9.
Thank you to Julia and Eva for not forgetting where they first started their academic careers! We wish them much success in the future and know they will continue to make us proud.
