The St. Demetrios Highschool students were thrilled to have Mr. Andrew Yamato, of the Greek Phalanx return to do a LIVING HISTORY presentation for our 8-12 graders.
The Greek Phalanx is a reenactment organization created to accurately portray the hoplite (man-at-arms) citizen soldiers of the Greek city states from the Archaic and Classical eras (c. 650-323 BCE).
The event was coordinated by Mr. Chrissochos, of the Greek department's Byzantine History Class, who himself has been a long time living history enthusiast.
